Conrad Poelman
Class of 1986
Conrad Poelman graduated as the Valedictorian of Laconia High School in 1986 and went on to obtain his Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also received a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, attending college on a Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship. After attending college and graduate school, Conrad served four years in the United State Air Force at the Air Force Research Laboratory in New Mexico. Conrad founded Stellar Science in 1999, a small scientific software development company that has now grown to include over 100 employees. Conrad is currently continuing to oversee his company, and is living in Washington D.C.

“Never let the perfect become the enemy of the good. Enjoy and appreciate New Hampshire while you can; get outside and enjoy the lakes and mountains. It's a great state in so many ways and I miss it, having moved away.”
