Don Bolduc
Class of 1981
Don Bolduc graduated from Laconia High School in 1981, and then enlisted in the U.S. Army at 18 years old. He attended boot camp in Fort McClellan, Alabama, along with many other different trainings. Don also attended college at Salem State University, earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Dean College, a Masters Degree in Business from Webster College, and a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. Don’s military career lasted 33 ½ years in the United States Army. He enlisted as a Private and continued to rise through the military officer ranks, retiring as a Brigadier General. During his service, he commanded all Special Forces in Africa, and commanded many high caliber units throughout the conflicts in Afghanistan, including the first units in the region after the attacks on 9/11. Since returning home to New Hampshire, Don has advocated to remove the stigma around Post Traumatic Stress. He has spent time as a professor at New England College, teaching the subjects of Leadership, Middle Eastern Studies, and African Studies. Don has also been a regular contributor to many global news networks, speaking on National Security and Foreign Policy.
Don's Advice to Current Students
"Don't let anyone tell you you can't do something, and never ever quit. Once you get it in your head that you can do something, keep looking forward to that goal and don't listen to anyone who says otherwise."
